Running your own business is really rewarding. You are doing something you love and are passionate about. But some times it can be stressful and demanding and you find yourself wondering why are you doing it.
This is normal. Its part of the ebb and flow of business. It’s important to realise that and have ways in which you can manage the down days.
Walking is not only good for your physical health but also your mental health. So last month Next In Line Films went for a walk. We travelled to New Zealand and completed the Milford Track, a four-day hike in the Fiordland National Park.
The Milford Track is a 53km walk over four days. You carry a full pack staying in huts along the way. There is no mobile phone reception or electricity. We had spectacular views, experienced tough climbs and wet boots.
It’s important to step away from your normal day to day life. For us the only thing we needed to focus on was walking. One foot in front of the other to get to the next hut. When you do things like this it helps to re-focus and connect with yourself.
We had a great time and even though it was a tough walk, it was well worth it.
